RESULTS and DISCUSSION Figure 3 shows SEM micrographs of the strontium bismuth titanate (SrBi4Ti40is, SBTi) powders synthesized in this study. The shape of particle was irregular, not equi-axis. Some aggregates were also observed. The larger particles tend to have a platelet shape. The major face of the large plate-like particles should be the c face of SBTi. In a single crystal, the c axis of the SBTi lies perpendicular to the major face of plate-like particles.
