Between these extremes there is an enormous diversity in the design, duration, places, and prices for different adventure tours. Even so, however, there are identifiable patterns in price and duration, and in group size and client-to-guide ratio, for different adventure activities. The results presented here consider each of the main product characteristics independently. This is an exploratory approach necessitated by the relatively small sample sizes. Skill requirements, group size, client-to-guide ratio, access and remoteness, duration, equipment, and accommodation may all be interrelated and all can affect the price per person per day.
